Responsibilities:
- Executes payroll activities and processing bi-weekly payroll ensuring data quality and data integrity while meeting strict deadlines.
- Resolves payroll problems using standard operating procedures established within the company.
- Ensures payroll information provided by operations compiles with the company's pay policies and pay schedules.
- Reviews bi-weekly payroll submissions for any unusual items or significant fluctuations.
- Assists with the preparation of payroll related reports, such as labor and statistics reports, license and physical expiration reports, 401K reports, etc.
- Processes new employees, terminations, transfers, promotions and pay rate changes.
- Generates payroll reports for operations and completes requests for pay-related documents.
- Maintains comprehensive payroll records to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Follows through on payroll inquiries and requests.
- Provide benefits administration support: maintain benefit files, code invoices, bill for missed benefit premiums, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred, with coursework in accounting, business, and data management.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association, a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience. Additional years of data entry experience may compensate for the lack of payroll processing experience.
- Solid data entry skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll systems, a plus.
- Proficiency in Payroll systems and all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues in other administrative functions.
